FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pembrokeshire, Wales – 19/05/2025
Our Director, who resides in North Pembrokeshire has expressed serious concerns regarding a series of interventions and allegations made against them over the past nine months. Despite multiple investigations resulting in no substantive findings, these incidents have raised questions about targeting, and the impact on individuals working within the care and support sector.
The timeline of events began on August 27th, 2024, when Social Services attended the director’s property following welfare concerns based on an alleged anonymous statement. This was swiftly deemed malicious within three days, yet a full investigation was requested by the director regarding the alleged concern.
Subsequently, on November 24th, 2024, the director was stopped twice in one evening by Dyfed-Powys Police over the same allegation of "Blue Light Use." The director voluntarily allowed vehicle searches during both encounters - again, no concerns were reported, an the director was allowed on his way. From here, the director made a complaint to the police regarding the malicious calls.
Further escalating concerns, on December 12th, 2024, a formal report was submitted to Dyfed-Powys Police regarding alleged malicious communications from their officers. The Police's complaints and policing standards department reportedly declined to investigate this report.
The following day, December 13th, 2024, a complaint was allegedly made by a police officer to Neighbourhood Watch, citing the resident for "overstepping" while "supporting the community." This referred to the individual's efforts to assist residents without electricity and water, ensuring their warmth and access to water during a period of need - this was when our Director was Interim-Chair of Dyfed-Powys Neighbourhood Watch - which has since been disbanded.
In January 2025, police officers attended the property due to an alleged report of domestic abuse concerns. Following separate discussions with the director and his spouse, no concerns were raised.
February 2025 saw another police visit, this time citing welfare concerns based on the director’s social media activity on the main Dyfed-Powys Police Facebook Page, holding officers accountable for their abuse of trusted position.
In March 2025, a Social Worker contacted the directors wife regarding a repeat of the initial allegation. Recognising the malicious nature of the report, Social Services at Pembrokeshire County Council reportedly dismissed and closed the case immediately.
The Director then filed a further complaint with the Police in April 2025 regarding the cumulative incidents. The Director has not had any response, thus being ignored by the Professional Standards Department (PSD) who is preventing the Director from making any complaints. An email was sent to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), with a response still pending.
The most recent development in May 2025 involves an anonymous concern from a "member of the public" directed to adult social services. This has triggered an investigation into "abuse of a person in position of trust," not connected to the director’s companies (SARS Cymru & SITREP/SARS Cymru Group Ltd) but concerning a trustee role within an external organisation that our director was proud to be a part of. The director has opened up about being removed from this trustee position without prior discussion or communication regarding the allegation. Attempts to ascertain the specifics of the complaint from the local authority revealed it was classified as "Section 5," indicating a predetermined investigative route before formal referral to the involved organisation. The director, who states they have never abused their position of trust or identified their affiliation with the organisation, reports receiving no support from the advocacy service since his removal.
The director has opened up and expressed strong sentiments regarding their experiences, stating, "For those working in Care & Support - don’t bother. It really is not worth the time or energy. Your mental health will decline, your wellbeing will decline, and you’ll be referred to safeguarding & potentially lose your job and never be able to work in care ever again - all for a minimum wage? Not worth it. That’s why I came AWAY from care."
The director further asserts a lack of support from any organisation, contrasting this with the absence of concerns raised regarding their own company, which they state operates with insurance, legal protection, and within the bounds of the law. They believe their community support activities, including assisting with missing persons, are being perceived as a threat by some as agencies that are using tax-payers money are delaying response times & hindering family and investigative matters, and rather focusing on a director that is making positive change.
The director has concluded by stating his intention to continue speaking out, hinting at the potential naming of involved Police Officers, Social Workers, Council workers, and councillors if the alleged targeting persists. He has openly expressed a belief in corruption within Pembrokeshire & will not stop perusing justice.
This series of events raises significant questions about the processes involved in handling allegations and the potential impact on individuals and the wider care and support community.
A message from the Director, “There is currently a lot going on in my life at present. Whilst I am trying my best to balance family time with work time, it has been difficult. I’ve been targeted by someone who is clearly not liking what I am doing, by supporting members of the public, ensuring they’re aware & informed, and that local services are being held accountable for not doing appropriate safeguarding referrals when they should have. I want to be open here & say that the people I have supported in person to date have been given contracts, have been given quotations & all messages are saved. I can guarantee you right now that I have not abused my position of trust, nor will I ever. I’m grateful of my position as director of SARS Cymru & I will continue to push for accountability within the Local Authority & Police Service across Wales. We pay for their services, they work for us.”
Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
