The Welsh Ambulance Service has declared a ‘critical incident’ with increased demand, delays to 999 calls and delays to patient handover times at hospitals.

To help decrease demand, if you’re contemplating whether or not to go to your A&E or GP, contact 111 rather than going to A&E (unless an emergency).

Always contact 999 in an emergency. You can check symptoms & advice here, on the NHS 111 Wales website: https://111.wales.nhs.uk/?locale=en&term=A

If you’re concerned for someone, but there is a significant delay, please - if you can, transport them to hospital (if safe to do so).
